Kein leichtes Geschäft! (in German)
Synopsis:
Kein leichtes Geschäft! tells about not understanding and misinterpretating, being in retreat and to actuate oneself. The listener goes along with Mr. Binder as he's searching for a home, the alienation in him and around him, and wanders with him between reality and daydream.
Kein leichtes Geschäft! derives from conversations with children (between 6 and 10 years old), who are the first generation in Austria: We talked about our lives, our experiences, impressions and dreams. These interviews have been fictionalized and combined with my observations and imaginations, and quotations of Ernst Bloch and Astrid Lindgren, that fascinate me. A very important aspect of my work is, that I attempt to relate to the audience on a personal level - to give space for intimate relation. Therefore I've made Kein leichtes Geschäft! available to the libraries in Vienna (A).
