On the 16th of November we spent 24 hours together in a studio at Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. None of us have English as their mothertongue. During this period there was one rule: we all had to speak in our own language. Communication should take place first by listening carefully, trying to recognize something in the language of the other, bodylanguage, visual language etc. The aim was to develop a game without rules, based on visual codes.
24 hours was part of the ‘Hortus Ludi’ exhibition curated by Bik van der Pol at Marres Center for Contemporary Culture , Maastricht (2002)
